The Parioli Quarter is home
to the spectacular Borghese Gardens, first opened to the
public on July 12, 1903 after much legal dispute. Romans and
international travellers alike may today visit the park's 80
hectares, 35 fountains, 15 buildings, 10 monuments and many
acclaimed statues to admire its outstanding beauty and
character. The Borghese Gallery has recently re-opened its
doors to some of the world's most famous art after extensive
renovation.
Palazzo Barberini, Museum of Modern Art, Villa Giulia's
Etruscan Museum, Auditorium Parco della Musica and many
other extraordinary places are located in close proximity as
well.
A 15-minute stroll from the hotel to Via Veneto, signature
of the Roman "dolce vita" coined in the 1960's... the windy,
plane-tree lined street is marked by select upscale
boutiques, historical cafes and the U.S. Embassy.
Families travelling with small children will not have to
venture far for a visit the city zoo, Bioparco di Roma,
likewise located in the Parioli Quarter. |
