Built in 1889, the Hotel
Majestic is a veritable jewel of neoclassic elegance. Situated in the
heart of the famed Via Veneto and within walking distance of the Spanish
Steps and Villa Borghese Gardens.
It was designed and constructed in the shape of
a piano—to cleverly accommodate a bend in the Via Veneto—the hotel has
been completely renovated in a warm, art deco style. Spectacular
fresco-adorned ceilings, distinctive antiques, and truly warm service are
hallmarks of the Majestic. Every room has been carefully studied and
designed with a unique combination of furnitures, fabrics and drapes. Beds
come in eight different measurements and all the sheets are pure linen.
The bathrooms are constructed with white Carrara marble (the same used by
Michelangelo), and come equipped with all modern comforts.
The elegant La Veranda Restaurant, overlooking Via Veneto, serves
delectable Italian specialties. The informal surroundings of La Ninfa Bar
and Brasserie set the stage for appealing regional cuisine.
Last but not least, beasides the hotel's recently opened
state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, there is a sophisticated health club located close to the hotel and for
joggers, the beautiful nearby Borghese Gardens. |
