Gastronomy
Based essentially on food in season, with emphasis on the basic produce, the menu of Lagrimas Negras evolves with the time of year and what’s in the market.

The Wines

The wine list features a selection of 450 top Spanish and international wines (25 served by the glass) that are constantly renewed. You will find everything here from exclusive brands to the small producers in emerging areas.

Events
The hotel has 950 sq m of space divided between 5 flexible public rooms that can host a range of functions for anything up to 900 people. Each of the 5 rooms can be extended to 190 metres, and used separately or combined to archive the ideal dimensions to accommodate their guest. This 3.70 metre-high rooms are equipped with the latest technical and audiovisual systems, and have natural light if required.
There are also two 15 sq m facilities for smaller private meetings.
In summer, all rooms have the use of the hotel’s magnificent terrace, for coffee breaks, reception cocktails or other services as required.

Receptions
In summer you can get your reception off to romantic start by holding your Welcome Cocktail on the magnificent terrace. After this pleasant gathering with your guests you have direct access to the area of the exclusive public rooms, where you will still enjoy the views over the terrace from its picture windows.

Gym
The gym is in the attic, so you can get fit while enjoying some impressive views right across Madrid. A magnificent space, which will give even greater motivation to fitness enthusiasts. The gym is open from 8 in the morning to 11 at night, and has state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Users can request a personal trainer.

Pool
The pool, like all the hotel’s spaces, is very special. The surface of the water, reflecting its surroundings like a mirror, gives it added magic and mystery. Its restful atmosphere makes it the ideal place for relaxing and leaving all your tensions behind. Open from 8 in the morning to 11 at night. Heated. Users can request a personal trainer.

Bar Skynight
The perfect place to shake off stress and leave your problems behind, relaxing over a drink or nibbling a refreshing salad.
Meanwhile, at your feet, the frantic rhythm of the city goes on without you.

Spa
In the Hotel Puerta America Madrid Spa you can enjoy massages, face and body treatments, depilation, manicure and pedicure. We can also prepare you a totally sublime bath in your own room, whenever it suits you!.  

Latin inspiration
The restaurant, baptized with the exotic name of Lagrimas Negras, is on your left as you enter the hotel. As you go in you are immediately struck by its LG Hi- Macs back-lit bar decorated with abstract motifs, which dominates the space, especially at night. The enormous wine cellar consists of an aluminum and glass structure that separates the
restaurant from the kitchens, and can house more than 400 different bottles, all on view. In fact, it looks more like a sculpture than a working wine cellar.
There are three areas: the bar, the restaurant and the cafe. In general, guests will be impressed by this large space’s generous use of light colours and visually pleasing materials. This includes the mirror glass in one of the walls that at night seems to disappear, becoming completely invisible, and the wood and leather that give it its welcoming feel. What will strike you most is its lightness of form and high ceilings, a feature of all the ground-floor areas including reception and the bar. Over each table lights dangle down from the ceiling like long lianas!

MARMOBAR

Its huge glass doors make sure the whole bar is visible right from reception. A very American concept: to see and be seen. This is a welcoming and modern place to relax. The first feature you will note is its height, visually extended by 400 wafer-thin aluminum profiles almost seven metres high, set five centimeters apart. The way they are laid out gives a vertical line that adds greatly to the bar’s sensation of spaciousness, depth and rhythm.
The bar itself is a great slab (8.25 metres) of white Statuario Venato marble from the Carrara quarries, originally weighing in at around 6 tons. Due to its giant dimensions this was the fi rst thing to be installed, even before the hotel’s façade. On either side are two enormous recesses or caves with white leather seats for guests requiring rather more peace or privacy.
A floor-to-ceiling glass wall divides it from the outdoor terrace, and you can view all terrace activities from inside. This large but simple area is floored with Travertine marble and separated from the road by glass panels bearing the Hotel Puerta America logo. On the other side it has views over the garden. In short, a very pleasant place, ideal for relaxing over a drink after a hard day’s working or touring the city. The chairs selected for the terrace are ‘One’ from German designer Konstantin Grcic for the Italian firm Magis.
