Don't be taken in by its calm atmosphere, Hotel Raphael really is at the heart of Parisian life!.

Located en Kléber avenue, right next to the Place de l'Etoile and the Champs Elysées, the Raphael is at the crossroads of Fashion, Gastronomy and Business.

Montaigne avenue, home to the world's greatest fashion designers, is nearby. Just a few steps from the hotel, the city's best restaurants vie for the favors of the smart set. And it's only a few minutes by car to La Dèfense, the epicenter of the French economy or Le Palais Brogniard, the temple of finance and home to the Paris stock exchange.

Hotel Raphael is one of the finest of all French hotels. A continuous stream of businessmen, statesmen, men of letters and men of the world in Paris on business or pleasure, have crossed its threshold in the past 75 years. What´s the secret of this unrelenting success? It's the clever blend of the traditional and the modern, the luxurious and the pragmatic, livened up with a twist of the romantic and convivial.

Behind its luxurious Belle Epoque decor, the hotel has a complete modern infrastructure: meeting rooms with natural light, private salons, a gourmet restaurant, fitness room, panoramic terrace... Though it's not just the buildings that have made the Raphael famous, Hotel Raphael also owes its renown to the quality of its welcome. From the reception desk to the concierge to room service, all the personnel are ready to give each guest service worthy of a palace to make their stays absolutely perfect.

▪  State Suite  ▪

The Hotel Raphael was built in 1925, and even in those days it had four presidential suites of about 120 sq.m, each comprising two bedrooms, a large separate sitting room and three bathrooms. The hotel has recently extended its range of accommodation, and its largest suite, covering a surface area of some 180 sq.m and equipped with the very latest technologies, has been open since May.

The large State Suite is situated on the fifth floor of the hotel, overlooking avenue des Portugais and the corner of rue Lapérouse.
Its windows open out onto pleasant balconies with views over the rooftops of Paris, set against a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and Sacré Coeur.

The suite comprises a large separate sitting room of around 40 sq.m, carefully designed for diplomatic meetings or simply somewhere to invite a few friends for a drink before dinner.
A permanent open bar offers a selection of fine wines to enjoy from the crystal glasses reserved exclusively for this suite.

The suite can also accommodate three fully flexible bedrooms on request to suit your needs, the largest of which covers a surface area of 60 sq.m, and a second sitting room, featuring the wood panelling, mouldings and decorative paintings of 1925, now fully restored. The fireplace, which dates from the same era, gives a perfect illusion of being a real fire but without the disadvantages; different atmospheres are simply controlled at the touch of a button on the remote control.

An elegant array of contemporary furniture, in particular the sofa designed by NOBILIS, and other stylish furnishings, ensure a very comfortable stay. Some very attractive pieces of Louis XV and Louis XVI-style furniture already owned by the hotel have been restored and carefully arranged in the suite. The draperies and fabrics were all designed by Rubelli.

The decoration of the four bathrooms is highly personalised. For two of them, we brought in skilled craftsmen like those at La Morinerie to produce the ceramics in the main suite.
These unique, hand-painted ceramics inspired by traditional designs were specially created for the Hotel Raphael.

In order to meet everyone's requirements, one bath is equipped with a balneotherapy system, two of the shower cubicles are equipped with multiple directional jets, and one also has a hammam.
The reconstruction work in the third bathroom had to be done around a very old mosaic representing a siren which simply had to be preserved. Fortunately we had the pieces to restore it and were able to create studs in the new floor that pick up its colours.
In order to create the perfect setting for the mosaic, a false ceiling was created to house a canopy and new lighting. A decorative frieze that coordinates perfectly with the mosaic was designed and placed above the old ceramics.

The bathrooms all offer the sanitary fittings expected by international guests.

The cut glass decorative wall lights made by the Jean Perzel studio give a soft light with just the right level of brightness for a bathroom.

Lighting throughout the suite and all other electrical equipment can be controlled from a remote control unit. There are three pre-programmed lighting levels, but guests can also ask to have their own requirements programmed into the remote control.

Just to be sure you stay abreast of all the latest developments, the so-called "magic" mirror in one of the bathrooms turns into a television screen so that you can watch the news or other programmes from your bath.

▪  Raphael Restaurant  ▪
Raphael Restaurant

A new head Chef at the Raphael...

Amandine Chaignot, 32, has taken her first position as head Chef in the new restaurant of the Raphael hotel.

It is now a contemporary decor which welcomes you at «RAPHAEL le Restaurant». The Damask curtains with brown spots, the seats covered with foal skin imitation, and the floor carpet tyles imitation Carrara marble give a chic design style.

▪  "Les Jardins Plein Ciel" panoramic terrace  ▪

Tucked away on the 7th and top floor of the most intimate of Paris's luxury hotels, the Jardins Plein Ciel offer panoramic views over the capital. A cold buffet and grilled dishes cooked on the barbecue are served at both lunch and dinner in the summer months.

An exceptional place, with the extra appeal of teak furniture and a giant chessboard, created as a tribute to Léonard Tauber, founder of the famous Chess Club of France.

▪  Bar Anglais  ▪
Bar Anglais

The Raphael's bar has the feel of a London gentleman's club - except for the fact that both men and women are welcome, from 11 in the morning to late at night. A warm and cosy atmosphere, with wood panelling and red velvet armchairs, whether it's at lunchtime or for afternoon tea, or later, for an aperitif or a nightcap. Regular guests mingle with the stars who pop in incognito to sample the head barman's speciality: the Mojito.

The Raphael is situated in the heart of the Parisian business area, a few steps from the Etoile and the Champs Elysées.
This excellent location offers its guests several advantages:
On the axis between the Arc de Triomphe and the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower; the museums in the local environs include the Petit Palais, the Grand Palais, the Jacquemart Andre, the Modern Art Museum, the Marmottant Museum…
At a short distance, the luxury boutiques of Paris on the avenue Montaigne as well as on the avenue Victor Hugo…
And, the most renowned cabarets and restaurants all close by.
