Restaurant "ANNA SACHER"

The Restaurant features a collection of paintings by Anton Faistauer and Vienna’s first electric chandeliers. It reflects the charming glamour of the turn of the 19th/20th century, the “Jugendstil”. It was named after the Grande Dame of the Sacher dynasty.

We offer our guest to choose between two luxury 7-course menus. Naturally they can pick several dishes or create their own 4-, 5- or 6-course menu.
Hans Peter Fink, our chef, spoils our guests with fine Viennese traditional food like Rieslingbeuscherl, Viennese escalope of veal, Viennese fried chicken or boiled fillet of beef. We provide young styled meals as well as international dishes.

The Café Sacher offers the world-famous Original Sacher-Torte as well as a variety of specialty coffees. From here guests can also enjoy the splendid view of the Vienna State Opera all year long – in the summer the glassed-in terrace is transformed into an open sidewalk café.

In addition to this unique house specialty, other Original Sacher products, such as the Original Sacher Café, the Original Sacher Tea, the Original Sacher Cuvée, or the exclusive Original Sacher porcelain line can be ordered.

In order to present the Original Sacher products and brand-name articles in a fitting setting and to introduce the cherished Viennese café tradition we offer the Café Sacher in the Imperial Hofburg in Innsbruck, the Café Sacher in the city heart of Graz and the Café Sacher in the Hotel Sacher Salzburg,

ABOUT VIENNA

City of music, cafes, waltzes, parks, pastries, and wine - that's Vienna. Vienna is a true cosmopolitan center, where different tribes and nationalities have for centuries fused their cultural identities to produce the intriguing and often cynical Viennese.
From the time the Romans selected a Celtic settlement on the Danube River as one of their most important central European forts, "Vindobona," the city we now know as Vienna, has played a vital role in European history. Austria grew up around the city and developed into a mighty empire. The capital became a showplace during the tumultuous reign of the Habsburg dynasty, whose court was a dazzling spectacle.
The face of the city has changed time and again because of war, siege, victory, defeat, the death of an empire, the birth of a republic, foreign occupation, and the passage of time. Fortunately, the Viennese character - a strict devotion to the good life - has remained solid.
Music, art, literature, theater, architecture, education, food, and drink are all part of Vienna's allure.
