The Pont des Arts (Arts Bridge)

The elegance of its architecture and the great delicacy of the steel sections make it a structure of rare lightness, elevated in relation to the piers. In recent years, many tourist couples have taken to attaching padlocks with their first names written or engraved on it to the railing or the grate on the side of the bridge, then throwing the key into the Seine river below, as a romantic gesture.

La Conciergerie

The Conciergerie is an important vestige of the Palace of the Capetians, and a remarkable example of 14th-century civil architecture. At the time of the French Revolution, it was France's oldest prison, and it was there that Marie-Antoinette was incarcerated.

Le Musée du Louvre

Paris’s largest museum, in what was once a royal palace. Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Delacroix’s Freedom Guiding the People and Jacques Louis David’s Oath of the Horatii are only three of the highlights that make the Louvre the world’s most frequented art museum by far.

L'Arc de Triomphe

Symbol of the Napoleonic epic. A magnificent view over Paris, with the twelve famous avenues – including the Champs-Elysées – radiating out from the triumphal arch.

The Pont Alexandre III (Alexander III Bridge)

The Pont Alexandre III is Paris's most elegant bridge, ornamented with fine sculpture work, adding its own charm to an already beautiful site.It also owes its fame to the technical prowess that went into its construction. It is made of a single leaf arch that spans the Seine in a great curve, although it is lowered so as not to obstruct the view of the Champs-Elysées or les Invalides.

Les Gargouilles de Notre Dame

Notre-Dame-de-Paris, which was built between 1163 and 1330, is a masterpiece of French Gothic art. Notre-Dame de Paris was among the first buildings in the world to use the flying buttress (arched exterior supports). Many small individually crafted statues were placed around the outside to serve as column supports and water spouts. Among these are the famous gargoyles, designed for water run-off, and chimeras.

La Place des Vosges

The Place des Vosges is the oldest planned square in Paris and one of the finest in the city. Located in the Marais district, this square, with its perfect layout, is the first example bearing witness to Henri IV's interest in town planning and contains about forty brick and stone houses built over arcades.

Le Céladon

Le Céladon is widely regarded as one of the premier restaurants in Paris. The Chef combines a creative menu featuring French cuisine and attentive service within an atmosphere accentuated by shades of pale green, accents of Céladon porcelain, crystal and silk. The result is a dazzling jewel-like setting that pays homage to French Regency with an Asiatic style where patrons dine in the lap of luxury.

Le Duke's Bar

Black and white portraits of English writers hang on the wall while mahogany tables and panelling finish the beautiful library setting of Duke’s Bar.
