"My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Hotel de l'Academie in Paris this past September. It was my wife's 50th birthday and although the airlines lost our luggage, the trip was still terrific. The hotel was just what we were looking for on this trip ... decent, clean, central, and friendly. I specifically thank Francois at the front desk for being terrific, friendly and funny. He is a real asset to this hotel. An unfortunate occurrence was losing our luggage, but that is survivable, especially in Paris. Upon checkout, we asked the desk, (not Francois), that if the airline attempts to deliver our luggage, please tell them we've left already and have they return it to the airline. It didn't work out that way, as whoever was running the desk that morning accepted the bags which were in fact delivered 3 hours after our departure. We wound up having to deal with this from New York City awaiting our final leg back to Boston. Our luggage arrived at our home one week after our trip. This has little to do with the hotel and our stay, so we think highly of the hotel and if not returning to Paris on a luxury type hotel visit, we would definitely recommend l'Acadamie. We had a terrific 'first time to Paris' and the hotel was a big part of the excitement."
