This picturesque little fishing port is tucked
away into the hills and cliffs north-east of
Bilbao – you’d never know that the city and
airport were within easy reach. There are
several bars and restaurants in the port, sea
fishing from rocky coves along the coast, a golf
course at nearby Laukariz y La Galea, and
walking/mountain biking in the hills around.
In the surroundings there are many coastal
localities that can be visited: Plentzia, Gorliz, Bakio,
famous for its beaches and summer atmosphere.
Also Bermeo, Gernika, and of course cities like Bilbao, San Sebastian y Vitoria - Gasteiz.
