Camino
Real is a stone house
beautifully refurbished while maintaining the layout of the building
intact as it was when they build it in 1872. The only difference now is
that each bedroom has a private bath with either a bathtub or massage
shower.
The Camino Real is owned by the wife of the director of a very important
American firm. She decorated the place herself and although she is not
American, she did such wonderful job, that one gets the feeling the
decoration was done by one of those top names in America; every bedroom
is prettier than the other...
Owner does not live in Guijo de Santa Barbara, she lives in Madrid due
to her husband’s job, but she has a couple of local ladies looking after
the house who are quite friendly and helpful. The owner usually comes
out on weekends and sometimes mid-week.
This house as a matter of fact would be ideal to rent it as a whole for
a small group, but is important to mention that during the week, chances
are you will have the house to yourselves, since most of the guests who
traditionally come here are from Spain, and they usually come on
weekends, Spanish holidays and summer vacation (July & August). |
