Hotel Ciria is located in
Benasque, a town of Aragón. To get there, if you are coming from either
Barcelona or Madrid, you'll be driving into the Pyrenees, going through
some astonishing canyons with rapids running right alongside you, an
scenery that gives the feeling of not knowing whether to be eager to
arrive or maybe hope for the distance to be longer... Once you arrive in
Benasque the town itself makes you feel welcome, but you’ll feel even
better when you check in at the Hotel Ciria, specially if you love
nature and like adventure sports, because the owners of this hotel are
two brothers who personally attend to it and happen to be experienced
hunters and former mountain guides. Their father had a lodge in this
same town where they grew up, so they know just about every trail there
is around Benasque, like the palm of their hand. Now they run their own
hotel dedicating heart and soul to guests. One of them is in charge of
administration, he is most of the time at the reception by the way; the
other brother, is the chef. He won the prize for best hotel restaurant
in Spain in 1992 and according to us, it should be awarded to him again.
The food is absolutely delicious, specially game dishes. As for the
rooms of Hotel Ciria, they have several types, all very nicely decorated
in the typical style mountain hotels, lots of wood and colorful fabrics. |
