youngest guests feel welcome, and our resourceful Concierge
is always close at hand - to make reservations for a family
dinner, offer suggestions for family outings or help arrange
a babysitter.
At check-in children will be asked if they would like to
receive a 'newspaper' in the morning. The choices are Mickey

ABOUT BERLIN |
| |
|
|
| |
The Hotel de Rome is located in Bebelplatz, off Unter den
Linden, not far from the Brandenburg Gate and opposite the
Humboldt University in the Mitte district at the heart of
Berlin. Bebelplatz is one of Berlin's most impressive
squares with its imposing classical buildings; to the right
of the hotel is the Opera House and, to the left, the former
royal library, now the university law school.
Mitte is one of Berlin's oldest districts housing many of
Berlin's main sights including the Brandenburg Gate, the
Reichstag and Alexanderplatz. The historical and lively
district of Mitte also contains Museum Island, with a
selection of interesting museums including the famous
Pergamon Museum, the National Gallery and the Museum of
Antiquities. Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is also on
Museum Island.
Unter den Linden crosses the historic centre of Berlin which
over time accumulated several prestigious buildings in the
18th century. The baroque Zeughaus which houses the German
History Museum and the opulent Prussian Opera House are a
lasting legacy of this period as is Bebelplatz Square, the
domed St Hedwigs Cathedral, the Academy Library and the
Palace of Prince Heinrich.
Potsdamer Platz is one of Berlin's newest areas, rebuilt by
the renowned architect Renzo Piano to recapture its former
energy and vitality. It is now a magnificent complex that
houses futuristic buildings and a pedestrianised forum with
upmarket shops, an Imax cinema, smart cafes and restaurants,
the Sony Centre and a casino.
The Hotel de Rome's superb location puts you at the heart of
all these Berlin attractions. |
