Splendid and charming, in the
very heart of the Road of the Stars, at the point at which the different
roads to Santiago of Europe converge. In the town of Puente la Reina (20 kilometres from
Pamplona), a beautiful village in Navarre, the Hotel El Peregrino is set
by the roadside of the Way of Saint James. Sheltered within a peculiarly
attractive, stone building, the hotel offers travellers a warm, cosy
atmosphere in which to enjoy its prestigious cuisine and comfortable
rooms.
The hotel is a model of elegance, owes its recognition to the fact that
it is a great exponent of the best hotel tradition in the North of Spain.
A tradition which, apart from history, has many other values: peace,
courtesy, cuisine, charm and character, five basic ingredients that give
the Hotel El Peregrino a singular personality.
At the entrance to Puente la Reina, pilgrims are received by the statue
of St James, with a pilgrim’s staff and cockleshell. It is located at
the very crossroads where the principal pilgrim roads coming from Europe
meet. An emblematic place heightened by the elegance of the Hotel El
Peregrino, a small, building, discreet in height, whose architecture
suggests features characteristic of the medieval period.
