On the north side, after St. Sebastian Beach, follow the beaches of
Matadouro, Mil Regos and Ribeira de Ilhas. This last one is known as one
of Europe's best surfing places receiving visitors from all over the
world.
If you have the time, pay a visit to St. Julian's Chapel, south of
"Foz do Lizandro", and you will not be sorry. See also the Chapel of
"Our Lady of Ó" near Carvoeira. North of the village, visit St.
Isidoro's Church, near "Ribeirade Ilhas", as well as, a hundred
metres ahead, what is left of "Paço de Ilhas".
In all those places, many of them rebuilt so many times, if you look
carefully at the buildings, the stones, the images, the names, you will
be able to find very ancient history. Located by the sea, on the south
