Hotel Gabbia D'Oro is
situated in a historic 18th-century palazzo, in Verona's monumental center.
The building adjoins the Gardello Tower (1320). This sophisticated small
cozy Hotel was fully and tastefully restored in 1990. It contains many of
its original frescoes, bearned ceiling and stone stairs. The intimate bar has
an ancient 18th-century boisiere and doors. Rooms are furnished with
precious antique furniture, oriental carpets and accesories of value,
walls carry important catalogued prints from the 16th century in gold
frames. The canopy and lace of the decoration reflect romance. The suites are large
and confortable, some of them have round-bellied tub with lion foot,
others are decorated with light pink marble with golden mosaic, which
frame the sparking tub (some with Jacuzzi) most with ancient marble ornament. |
