Hotel Greif is an oasis, quiet and relaxing, in lively downtown Bolzano. Recently restored and completely renovated, this hotel blends charm and a carefully selected artistic decorate with everything a modern hotel can offer people travelling or business.
With Hotel Greif, the viennese architect Boris Podrecca has created a perfect symbiosis of tradition and modern architecture. The restored facades and the parts under the protection of the "Agency for the Preservation of Historic Monuments" maintaining the charm of the original building but have now become part of a multifunctional construction.
Contemporary artists were asked to create a work of art for each of the 33 rooms. In many of the rooms there is also a work of art by a less recent artist and the two interact in a kind of dialogue.
