The Hotel Haus Paradies
is surrounded by picturesque forests and green or snow-covered

name. Just outside the little Engadine village Ftan, at an altitude
of 1650 metres, the Hotel Haus Paradies is situated on one of the
sunniest and beautiful plateaux of Switzerland. Nearby but far
enough from glamorous St. Moritz individual holidaymakers enjoy the
tranquility and gentleness and the climate of the "Engiadina bassa",
the Lower Engadine.
All of the luxurious rooms of Hotel Haus Paradies have a south-facing
balcony and a beautiful view over the valley and the Lischana
mountain range. The attract attention with noble materials in warm
colours, real carpets and genuine art works, all done by renown
Engadine artists. The bathrooms are made of marble and are equipped
with all comfort.
The restaurant "Bellavista" seats fifty people. This is where the
day begins for the guests, with a generous breakfast buffet. In the
evening a daily changing 4 course menu is being served, as well as a
choice of Mediterranean dishes. Delicate yellow reflects the
sunlight and the wooden floor creates a comfortable atmosphere.
Gourmets are awaited by a cook of the land of Cockaigne. It is
characterized by the exceptional art of cooking of the host, Eduard
Hitzberger. He has been awarded by "Gault Millau" as the "Runner-up of
the year 1997 in German speaking Switzerland" and has 18 out of 20
points. In 1999 It raised his second Michelin-star. |
