Meliá Castilla is the largest hotel in
Madrid, more rooms than any other and yet you don’t feel it. Truly
amazing how they manage to give you the feeling of being someone special
in a hotel with more than 800 rooms… When I (JP Moser) stayed in Meliá
Castilla (Summer of 2002) was really amazed not only with the friendly
and courteous staff but the installations! Everything looked practically
brand new and yet, the hotel was over twenty years old. As a matter of
fact, had stayed in Meliá Castilla before over 15 years ago (nothing to
do with this hotel guide) and cannot say it looked better. Then there is
the location, granted, it is not in the smack center of downtown Madrid,
but it is also true that is one of the better districts with lots of
nice restaurants around and Madrid’s downtown is practically at a
stone’s throw by taxi or simply using a wonderful bus and metro service
not more than two blocks away.(Comments
