The Hotel Preciados is a new hotel in Madrid, opened December 2001. The location could not be better for those that want to been in the true heart of this lovely city. Half a block from Plaza el Callao, two blocks from Puerta del Sol and two and a half from Plaza España. The Hotel Preciados was formerly an apartment building. They knocked down all the inside walls, keeping the only the basic structure and the façade, and rebuilt the whole thing. So the rooms of the Preciados are as nice as you would expect to find a new four star hotel but with the savoir of the old building façade and even the stair which they managed to keep intact. A wonderful arrangement, very friendly staff, quite affordable prices and on top of that, a great location, right in the middle of city but with truly sound proof windows and modern climate control.(Comments by JP Moser)
