History of Hotel Royal Riviera Perched on the peninsula of Cap-Ferrat, between Monaco and Nice, Hotel Royal Riviera once again commands centre stage in this exclusive resort. A modern classic, this luxurious hotel provides all the intimacy of a private Mediterranean villa with the luxury and glamour of a palace. Constructed in 1904, Hotel Royal Riviera as it is known today, has undergone several previous incarnations, including The Bedford Residence and The Bedford Hotel. Originally intended to provide a residence hôtelière, a time-share for the British aristocracy. Grace Leo-Andrieu, the renowned hotelier behind such properties as the Lancaster in Paris, was appointed as management consultant in January 1999, her objective to create a new identity and style in keeping with The Royal Riviera's Grande Dame standing, as well as provide the latest modern conveniences and comforts for its clientele. The most reliable “Review” about this property is that it is in The JP Moser Hotel & Chateau Guide, and Mr. & Mrs. Moser, the authors of the guide, stay at the properties featured in The JP Moser Hotel & Chateau guide (usually for two days and two nights), in order to evaluate thoroughly the installations and services. Therefore, if a lodging establishment is featured in The JP Moser Hotel & Chateau Guide, is because it is exactly as you see it in www.jpmoser.com and you can be sure that if you book this property, there should not be any unpleasant surprises while you stay there.
