Hotel Royal
Victoria has very old traditions and has given hospitality to many
famous people. One of these was the well-known musician and composer,
Gounoud, whose "Ave Maria", they say, was inspired by his contemplations
of the lake at sunset. In 1838, the queen of England stayed here and it
was in her honor, that the hotel changed its name to Hotel Royal
Victoria. After the last restoration work in 2000 the Hotel offers the
best comfort. The bright and comfortable lounges provide a refined and
attractive atmosphere. Courteous staffs ensure guests receive the best
attention.
The "Gourmet" restaurant with its terrace overlooking the lake and its
spectacular view is the ideal setting for important dinners. Its rich
menu offers typical Larian dishes as well as inspired national and
international recepies of tradition. The best Italian wines exalt the
refined cuisine of the dedicated kitchen staff.
The garden is added to
the Hotel, and it is drawn up on a design by Sir Inigo Triggs. Thanks to
great constant maintenance, offers quiet relaxing place to read a book
or simply to admire the amazing beauty of the landscape. |
