The Grand Hotel Villa
Castagnola was built within large tropical gardens on the shore of
Lake Lugano. In 1885, it became a grand hotel but it never lost its
splendour nor, indeed, its warmth and intimacy of a family home.
Fine antiques and sumptuous furnishings remind you of its heritage
as do the charming staffs that wait upon your every wish. The guest
rooms and suites have their own distinct personalities as they look
out across the vivid blooms of the park to the lake. Each of the 75
rooms and 18 suites and junior suites are individually and uniquely
decorated to evoke the warm, comfortable, elegant atmosphere of a
Villa. All the rooms have breathtaking views of the lake and park.
There is a Mediterranean feel about the place suggested by the
colours, the climate and the light, innovative gourmet cuisine. You
can dine at "Le Relais", at "Arté al Lago" by the water's edge or on
the panoramic terrace where the candles flicker in time to the
strains of a piano. Indulgence is yours to enjoy by the pool, the
private Lido on the lake or in the health, beauty and fitness
facilities.
The lounge areas are furnished with antique pieces of art. A
complete range of recreational activities and services such as
beauty treatments and massages are provided. The resort's
exquisitely light and innovative cuisine features seafood and fresh
market produce complemented by fine regional wines. Guests discover
that this glamorous century-old villa soon becomes their private
estate, a place of pure enjoyment and pleasures of the senses in the
Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola. |
