The Imperiale Palace Hotel originally was a private villa built in 1889 by the aristocratic Costa family coming from Corsica. This charming historic house is surrounded by a large park sloping down to the sea. From its wide marble terraces you can enjoy the most enchanting view over Portofino Bay. Excellent service and most welcoming atmosphere in a splendid nineteenth century ambience marked by first-rate comfort and superior professionalism.
The Imperial Palace Hotel is today one of the most outstanding and prestigious hotels in the Ligurian Riviera, satisfying the most demanding client and taking one back to memorable times long gone. It is the ideal place for a unique holiday, where the charme of past mixes perfectly with the most modern comforts and impeccable service.
Famous writers and artists, like Pirandello and Eleonora Duse were regular guests of the hotel. In 1956 the Vitaliano family acquired the property and enriched the  Palace with valuable antiques and pieces of art. The family owned the hotel until 1969, when it was purchased by the Fabbri Family, a well known Italian Publisher.
The Hotel has 5 Single Rooms, 66 Double Rooms, 15 Junior Suites and 3 Imperial Suites. In the old villa, where the aristocracy once lived, the glamour of the Belle Epoque is stunningly visible in the magnificent "Imperial Suites", with every detail distinguished by its sheer elegance. The magical atmosphere of the "Suite Tigullio", light, spacious, and refined with valuable fittings and furniture. From its windows the most wonderful view.
The Ristorante Novecento, a panoramic restaurant where you can taste superb traditional cuisine and for your summer evenings dancing candle-light dinners on the terraces surrounding the ancient villa with a view of the Tigullio Bay. A charming cafè, "Caffè del Trattato", with fine Liberty furniture and fittings. The "Terrazza Paraggi" with a magnificent view of Santa Margherita and its enchanting night lights, provides magical musical evenings under the stars.
