Your own private space in a hotel? At the Kristiania, it goes without saying. A feeling of privacy is something you only experience in familiar surroundings and with a deep sense of wellbeing. That is why we pay so much attention to life's little - and bigger - comforts. There are no limits to our creativity, and the better we know you, the more we can quietly and discretely take care of you and all your wishes. All you have to do is accept.

We hope you have a fantastic stay!

Pure Charm

Lech, the birthplace of Alpine skiing, is one of the world's best-known skiing regions, yet it has lost none of its traditional winter sports charm. It is almost as if it has stepped out of time: naturally beautiful yet still vibrant and modern. The natural landscape and the character of the village set Lech apart from most other ski resorts today and are likely to make for an even better holiday experience. We recommend that you take your time and let Lech show you everything it has to offer. If you prefer, we will be happy to give you specific tips for your own personal journey of discovery through the old and the new.

Live in Luxury

You may also choose to share your personal idea of luxury with us. That too goes without saying. Everything you could possibly wish for we either do already, without you having to say a word, or you let us know your individual wishes and leave the rest to us. If you would like to find a steaming hot, aromatic bath waiting for you in your room after a strenuous day on the slopes, if you dream of a romantic picnic in the snow, a helicopter flight over snow-topped peaks or a caring nanny to give you some special time-out as parents - whatever your wishes, simply talk to our friendly staff at reception. Sometimes a suggestion from us is enough to put you in the holiday spirit.

Valet Parking. The Kristiania has no front-of-hotel parking. We will be happy to reserve a space in the garage for you at a fee of Euro 25 per day and take care of parking your car.

Transfers. We will be pleased to help you organise and book a transfer from the hotel to the station or airport.

Dogs. Euro 35 per dog per day (not including food). Well-behaved dogs are welcome in all our rooms and are permitted in the reception hall, on the sun terrace and in the Kaminzimmer. Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant.

Dress. We kindly ask our guests to dress elegantly for dinner in keeping with the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Smoking. We must ask you to refrain from smoking in all rooms and areas of the Kristiania. Smoking is permitted in the Kaminzimmer and on the sun terrace.

At Kristiania, we put all our skill into making sure that you enjoy every single day of your holiday. Enjoy your own Alpine townhouse at the birthplace of skiing, with some of the world’s finest slopes on your doorstep and with every imaginable comfort inside. Please come in, take off your coat and feel at home!

The House

Legendary in style. Hannes Schneider was a pioneer of alpine skiing and his technique has shaped the sport even to this present day. House no. 14 in Stuben was where Hannes Schneider was born in 1890. You may still sense some of his infectious skiing passion inside the house. Although the urge to attack the mountain might be great, there’s no pressure at all… You have the whole day to storm the slopes in Schneider’s tracks. Upon your return, in your personal sanctuary (the birthplace of an Austrian legend) you will find everything you could ever wish for - pampering, deep relaxation, phenomenally fine dining and luxury at its finest.

Luxurious freedom. After a day on the slopes, in fresh powder or on the prepared pistes riding freestyle through the entire Arlberg resort, you can come home to House Hannes Schneider and simply let go. A pre-heated sauna, a steaming bath, a crackling fire, the best hot chocolate in the whole of Arlberg, an aperitif and a highly skilled team, creating a sumptuous tea, all await your return.  Get out of your wet snow things and find a sense of wellbeing, as we take care of your every need in order to make your life perfectly easy.

The Kristiania is all about a love of the outdoors. But after a day in the snow and cold, our small but beautiful spa is exactly the right place to unwind and warm your body and soul. In the sauna and quiet room, all thoughts of snow and ice simply melt away, leaving you with a perfect sense of harmony between the day's activities and a relaxed evening.

Lech am Arlberg is a mountain village and an exclusive ski resort in the Bludenz district in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg on the banks of the river Lech. In terms of both geography and history, Lech belongs to the Tannberg district. In tourist terms, however, it is part of the Arlberg region. Lech is administered together with the neighbouring villages of Zürs, Zug, Oberlech and Stubenbach. The municipality is an internationally known winter sports resort on the mountain range Arlberg.

Lech was founded in the fourteenth century by Walser migrants from the canton of Wallis in Switzerland.

Until the nineteenth century it was known as Tannberg, but subsequently the full name "Tannberg am Lech" gave rise to the present name Lech.

The church of St Nicholas in Lech, which is thought to have been built in approximately 1390, was the parish church of the Tannberg administrative district, and there was also a Tannberg district court in Lech until the dissolution of the Tannberg district in 1806.

In the last decades, the small town has developed into a flourishing municipality by the influence of winter tourism and increasingly, also by summer tourism.

Otto Wagner

The most elegant and ambitious of our culinary highlights, this is fine dining à la Kristiania. Here our chefs put all their skill and craftsmanship into creating inspired cuisine and a truly gourmet experience.

Reservation required.

Kristiania Classic

White, elegant, French. Stylishly relaxed cuisine by candlelight with French table service, contemporary design and a backdrop of atmospheric chansons. Experience the Marais Quarter of Paris with a view of the Lech mountains.

Kristiania Austrian

Traditional regional cuisine meets hospitality in its purest form. Relaxed, easy-going, friendly, but very much in the here and now. Traditional Austrian dishes fused with contemporary lounge music.

Sink into the fine down covers of our deckchairs and enjoy the sunshine, snow and magnificent impressions of winter. From February to well beyond Easter, our sun terrace is the best place for a leisurely lunch, drink, tea or coffee in a magical setting.

Lounge & Bar

This is the perfect place for a relaxed chat, an elegant cocktail or a creative taster of our cuisine. The magnificent sound of our Steinway grand piano accompanies you through the afternoon, framed by the uniquely inspiring view of the Red Wall. The interior is artful, carefully composed, and inviting. Take coffee, afternoon tea or a Martini here and get to know the hotel and its guests from just one of the many pleasant sides of the Kristiania.

Please fill this form for individuals or for groups and you shall receive an answer written by a live person at Kristiania Lech. This is the only way you can know exactly what room types are available for the dates you want, and the best possible rate, because you are dealing directly with the hotel.
Bear in mind that websites set up to give an automatic answer, work with allocated quotas given by the hotel, therefore when it appears there are no rooms available for the date you want, this is not necessarily true, because they never allocate ALL the rooms to third parties.
