La Arquera is located just
outside Llanes, a lovely small Asturian coastal town. As a matter of
fact, many of the rooms offer a distant sea view. The highlight of this
small hotel is the decoration and quality of the materials, such as
highly polished wooden floors, carpeting every where, very nice
furniture including lots of antiques, like the beautiful brass bed in
room No. 36. An interesting detail in most rooms of La Arquera is a
panel dividing the bed area from the living area (where they usually
have a sofa bed). Also worthwhile mentioning is the buffet breakfast, it
is buffet, but with the peculiarity that every guest helps himself in
preparing anything to his liking, including squeezing the orange juice,
you can have as much as you wish, just have to squeeze it... The eleven rooms and the two junior suites of La Arquera are all lavishly decorated,
very spacious and with a small full kitchen in each, with a fridge,
stove, sink, dinnerware and cooking utensils. Originally they intended
these to be as apartments, but marketing results proved contrary to this
and they opened as a hotel. The kitchen of La Arquera is yours to use
just ask for the key, there is no extra charge. |
