"We had 3 great days at the hotel La Chartreuse du Val St. Esprit. The accommodation, food and staff were excellent. We used all 3 restaurants and the standard in each was of the highest quality. It as our second visit and we will certainly go again. The one thing that would really improve the facilities would be an -Indoor Swimming Pool-."

"Happy to oblige: La Chartreuse du Val St. Esprit was great and we will certainly stay there again. We dined in the mid range restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Rooms were great (although we would have preferred to stay in the main building rather than the separate building). Having a cold drink on the back lawn was very relaxing after a days travelling. We will plan to stay there for 2 nights next time so we can explore the area."

"Excellent in all respects. Food in main restaurant was outstanding. BUT not for those who want ´average´ French food. This was very ´gastronomic´ and perhaps too unusual for some uk people. Why would they come to France if they do not want this great experience?
Staff was excellent, lovely room (´Grand-style French furnishings and decoration would not suit those who like a Holiday Inn!)
Great value for money, particularly when booking the ´Castle- Experience´.
One regret was a corner room with a large water drain running down outside, it rained all the time during our stay and the drain gurgled all night and kept us awake a very long time.- a bit of bad luck! .
We will return for certain."

"The Hotel La Chartreuse du Val St. Esprit has an attractive building inside and out and a very attentive staff. Our room (superior, I think) was spacious, comfortable and furnished in keeping with a period property.
We ate in the main restaurant, which was nearly empty. The food and service were of a good standard. We had a very enjoyable evening."

"We could not praise the staff at La Chartreuse enough. In the restaurants and bars they were really helpful also THE FOOD was excellent. They all made us very welcome and the quality of everything was perfect. We also had our dog with us and everyone was very kind to her.
