Burgos is well connected to its neighbors by a network of highways, but its
routes to and from Barcelona (6 hr.) are especially wide and modern. The
road from Barcelona changes its name several times, from the A-2 to the A-68
to the E-4, but it is a superhighway all the way.
From Madrid, follow the N-I north for about 3 hours; the highway is fast but
less modern than the road from Barcelona.
