La Rectoral is a 4 stars charming hotel of Asturias. Few places can offer what La Rectoral has to offer, maybe because this was the pioneer hotel built by the government of Asturias to promote rural tourism in the area and they kind of went out of their way, to be sure and attract tourists by providing a lot of comfort in a rural setting. No wonder it gives somewhat the feeling of being in one of the hotels of the Spanish Paradores, a national hotel chain of which you can see quite a few properties in this guide. La Rectoral does not belong to the chain, it is managed independently. To build this hotel they used part of an ancestral village building enclaved in a slate rock mountain, a marvelous idea, that way they were able to combine bits and pieces of the old house with some of the most comfortable rooms you can find. Each room enjoys a spectacular view and every one is like a junior suite, the bedroom area is completely separated from a nice sitting area with a breakfast table in a large covered balcony that looks out to the Asturias wonderful green prairie. The bedrooms on the ground floor of La Rectoral, have the added convenience of having in addition to the balcony area, a nice garden terrace in each one.
