Liguria is
situated in northern Italy and overlooks the Ligurian Sea.
There are no plains and the coasts drop sheer to the sea.
The most important town of the region is Genoa, of course,
which can be reached by plane thanks to its Cristoforo
Colombo airport, a very important link to the principal
towns of the region. Tourism is an essential resource for
the region, that can offer seaside towns and naturalistic
landscapes of great and unique beauty to all its visitors.
Genoa (that this year has been chosen as the European
Capital of Culture), Chiavari and also San Remo, very famous
for its flowers and its ‘Italian Song Festival’ |
