Practice your favourite winter sport.
At Megève the skiing is
good for beginners and intermediates, with pretty tree-lined pistes and inviting mountain restaurants. Cross-country trails
are in varied and attractive surroundings, some at altitude. Megève has 3 mountains to ski: Rochebrune, Jaillet-Combloux and
Mont d'Arbois, with a bubble link to each from the town centre.

In summer, you
can spend a day in the Les Moliettes mountain pastures,
lying at an altitude of 4680 feet, which you can get to,
in a four-wheel drive or on foot (one hour), followed by
lunch and a hike to see the local flora and fauna. |

MEGEVE |

Chic and
sophisticated, a piece of Paris in the Alps, and
known
as the French alternative to Switzerland's St. Moritz, its sumptuous hotels
and chalets still attract plenty of 'beautiful people' looking not just for
skiing but atmosphere and ambience, which Megève has in abundance. A
charming mountain town with unique atmosphere, warm hospitality and country
charm, is considered one of the traditional old winter holiday towns, is the
essence of rustic chic with a history that cannot be forgotten as you walk
through its medieval heart
with narrow
streets and plenty of window shopping. Horse-drawn sleighs enhance the
atmosphere as well as the fine old church and carefully restored old
buildings. |
