A family story
Since 1903, the history of 5-star hotel, Le Hameau Albert 1er and the affirmation of its mountain identity have been the foundations for its serene and stylish hotel rooms, where you can peacefully contemplate the Mont Blanc panorama. The chic hotel rooms in the main Albert 1er building and La Ferme, the Martine and Blaitière suites and the Soli and Grépon chalets propose six intimate areas…peaceful havens in which to relax under the watchful eye of Mont Blanc.
Taking inspiration from the past and combining it with the future could well be the Hameau Albert 1er’s motto. For more than one hundred years, the Maillet-Carrier family has been overseeing the destiny of the formerly named ‘Railway Guesthouse’ (Pension du Chemin de Fer) and relies strongly on its history to build its future. Over the years, the now, 5-star Hameau Albert 1er hotel has been tastefully refurbished with an emphasis on aesthetics and premium comfort.
Today, the Hameau Albert 1er, made up of chalets and a historical main building, resembles a small hamlet, nestled in a rustic garden, with a brook flowing between the fruit trees.
All that is left to do is choose the ambience of your room: contemporary or alpine tradition, pure white tones or the intimacy of old timber. From the comfort of your bed, everything around you tells a different story...
With 20m2 of floor space and a garden view, these rooms propose a traditional, mountain decor with a touch of modernity and all the necessary comfort for a relaxing stay.

With 40 m2 of floor space, the luxury rooms propose sleek, white walls in a natural finish that contrast with stained black oak woodwork and the exhibition of a piece of mountain folk art furniture. Mountain artwork animates each room with different subtle tones.
While you might find the subtle grey, mauve and taupe tones of the Aiguille Rouges in one room, you may find the clear blue high mountain sky or the mineral grey of the sides of the Dru in another. Rooms are equipped with a spacious and light bathroom with jet bath and walk-in shower.
The ambience of a wood burning fire, facing the bed and sitting area, adds to the modern decor and mountain character of these luxury rooms with fireplace and Mont Blanc view.
With a subtle decor consisting of an old piece of folk art furniture juxtaposed with contemporary design, each room is defined by a piece of mountain artwork from the Carrier family’s private collection. Rooms are equipped with a spacious and light bathroom with jet bath and walk-in shower to guarantee an enjoyable stay.
With 40m² of floor surface, these rooms have a terrace, providing access to the garden or a balcony facing the Mont Blanc range, bringing together the architecture of old farm houses with the furniture of contemporary designers such as Gaetano Pesce or Lecorbusier.

Consisting of a main bedroom with luxury bathroom, a smaller bedroom with walk-in shower and a communal lounge with fireplace, this new gem is perfectly suitable for a family of four.
Designed by our architect, Lionel Adam, to bring optimum comfort to its guests, this unashamedly contemporary cocoon fuses wonderful mountain design and cosy atmosphere. Here, modern technology blends seamlessly with the wood and stone finishes, while the white wall coatings contrast with warm fabrics.
Its name is no coincidence; you need only gaze through the suite’s patio doors or from its terrace at the majestic view of the Aiguille de Blaitière mountain, to the left of Mont Blanc and with a summit of 3,522 metres

A chalet reminiscent of a ‘white dream’
Stepping inside the Chalet Grépon, is like diving into a white paradise, with the promise of cosy nights where sweet dreams are made. Named after the granite peak that overlooks it, this chalet proposes a 45m² bedroom where the immaculate white interior is warmed by the flames of the wood burner.
Beautiful materials such as white maple wood, Corian and pure wool curtains make the interior unashamedly minimalist and modern.
This heavenly journey of discovery continues on the private terrace which proposes a panoramic view of the Brevent and Aiguilles de Chamonix. The Chalet Grépon also has a small bunk room for two children, as well as a bathroom with jet bath and shower.
Its modernity, the quality of materials and furnishings, the fluidity of lines, not to mention the prestigious trademark furniture of Philippe Starck and Toshiyuki Kita rank this chalet in the category of most luxurious spaces in the Alps. A dream of white luxury at the foot of this world-famous mountain.
The chalet Soli, a Savoyard cocoon
The Chalet Soli owes its style to the haylofts of long ago, raised maisonettes built next door to the farmhouse to conserve commodities and precious family belongings.
For 2 to 6 people, this 80m² Savoyard chalet, nestled in the heart of the garden, has a cosy feel to it, with a wooden interior and visible timber frames in the salon with fireplace.
Two double, ensuite bedrooms, each with Jacuzzi bath, a private sauna, and two single beds upstairs on the mezzanine, provide comfort throughout.
The chalet has a private terrace and direct access to the Hameau’s garden. The mountain wildlife paintings of local and admirable artist, François Olivier Brunet, animate the chalet with authentic character. A stay in the Chalet Soli is like experiencing a wonderful Robinson Crusoe adventure, yet on a luxury scale, with your own private space in which to relax and recharge your batteries.

Sitting down to dine in head chef, Pierre Maillet’s two-star gastronomic restaurant, Albert 1er, is like the beginning of an epicurean journey of discovery, where taste reigns supreme.
'Things are perfect when they taste precisely what they are.'
The chef’s objectives are to conserve the taste of the produce while respecting its texture and to gently combine ingredients and not spoil them by trying to over-enhance them.
Having taken over from his father-in-law, Pierre Carrier, Pierre Maillet has upheld the restaurant’s traditions by proposing a subtle, modern and natural cuisine, inspired by the surrounding area.
Marc-Henri Mialon, head sommelier of our Albert 1er gastronomic restaurant will be delighted to share with you his passion for wine. He proposes a monthly meeting of one or several wine makers, in which they share their know-how and allow you to discover their best wines through a tasting. The morning wine tasting session is followed by a gourmet lunch in the Albert 1er restaurant with the elaboration of a special menu in accordance with the winemaker’s wines, who will have the pleasure of your company at the table.
Our traditional restaurant is now closed for holidays. We will welcome you again on Friday 15th June 2018 for the dinner.
Our gastronomic restaurant ' Albert 1er ' remain at your disposal during this period.
