Le Maquis is located on the
southwest coast of Corsica, or more precisely on the southern banks of
the Gulf of Ajaccio, justo opposite the Sanguinaires Islands that mark
the entrance to the Gulf. The Hotel seems to lean back against the
hillside with its feet at the water's edge, stretched out between
mountain and sea, overlooking the beach of a sheltered inlet.
This fabulous hotel is in
fact the only 4-star establishment in Corsica to offer a naturally
protected beach in a secret inlet, an indoor heated pool open year round,
as well as an outdoor pool and a restaraurant as famous for its cuisene
and attentive service as for its charming terrace overlooking the Gulf
of Ajaccio.
Nearly all the rooms have
private terraces or balconies with a view of the sea or gardens where
guests can enjoy sunbathing, breakfast, a romantic candlelit dinner or
the ultimate luxury of a relaxing massage.
At Le Marquis all rooms,
regardless of category, are different and personally decorated in a
unique style. The have antique furniture as well as wooden shutters and
exposed beams. Families with children will appreciate the fact that most
rooms and suites communicate.
