BENDINAT ROYAL GOLF COURSE |
|
|
|
Mallorca is one of the few
islands where golf is practicable all year long, due to its
warm temperatures and to its magnificent installations. In the
Island there are 18 golf courses including he Bendinat Royal
Golf Course, magnificently situated 7 kilometres west of Palma,
in an extensive wooded valley and in the heart of the Bendinat
Housing Estate.
In 1995, under the direction of the architect Hawtree, the golf
course was enlarged to accommodate 18 holes and a full grid of
buggy paths was put in place. A driving range was added later
and several improvements carried out.
Its Club House features excellent services and facilities which
include views to hole 18 and a full schedule of events. |

ABOUT MALLORCA |
|
|
|
The Balearic Islands'
archipelago is situated south-east of Europe, in the central part of
the western Mediterranean basin. Palma, the capital of the
Balearics, is in Majorca, the largest of the Balearic islands. The
Moors constructed Palma in the style of a Casbah, or walled city.
Its roots are still visible, although obscured by the high-rise
hotels that have cropped up.
The beginning of the 1950's marked the prelude of the tourist
phenomenon which was to change the physiognomy of the city and the
entire island, transforming it into a centre of attraction for
visitors with a sociological interchange of cultures. Today Palma is
a bustling city whose massive tourist industry has more than made up
for its decline as a major seaport. Arrival by sea is the most
impressive, with the skyline characterized by Bellver Castle and the
bulk of the cathedral.
