The city of Uzès is a joy to discover, full of history and with a delightful atmosphere. Situated between Avignon and Nîmes, Uzès is a charming town with narrow streets lined with beautiful tall buildings made of honey-coloured stone.
With its beautiful vine-covered countryside, the Languedoc, (and more especially the Uzès region) is colourful and rich in natural resources. Many activities revolve around winegrowing: fairs, harvest festivals.
Olive oil is the region’s second most important source of agricultural production. Olive trees dot the Languedoc, giving it a unique atmosphere. There are three olive mills in Uzès.
The third most important agricultural product is truffles. One estate in Uzès is specialised in truffle farming.
DURING YOUR STAY, YOU SHOULD NOT MISS SEEING:
The Eure Valley (vestiges of an aqueduct), the Fenestrelle Tower, Saint-Theodorit Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace, modern art galleries, the Savonnerie du Duché (a soapmaking workshop), the outdoor market on Wednesday and Saturday morning…

The chef selects the finest products, and most beautiful fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes, courgettes, beans, and aubergines ripen slowly in the warm sunshine in this part of the world. Regional cuisine combines their colours and flavours, accenting them with aromatic herbs. Pastries are made with sun-kissed fruit: peaches, apricots, and nectarines. This freshness and sweetness are in keeping with the hotel’s spirit.
The restaurant’s cooking epitomises the many facets of fine Languedoc cuisine and goes beautifully with a good bottle of wine from the region (or elsewhere).
