The Maison d’Uzès is a charming boutique hotel that has managed to retain the charm of times past. This three-hundred-year-old house, tucked away down an alley in the majestic city of Uzès, once the Chambon de La Tour family home and a historic monument, has recovered all its former glory. Behind its imposing façade, a monumental 17th-century staircase with angled balusters and a hidden, nearly secret staircase leading to the upper floors affording picturesque views overlooking the rooftops of Uzès. A back stair lead to guest rooms featuring contemporary decor and delightful views over the roofs of the old town. They are elegant, modern and luminous.
The Spa nestles under Romanseque arches and draws its inspiration from ancient traditions of health and well-being. The chef at La Table d’Uzès serves Provençal market cuisine, which, in summer, can be enjoyed on the patio with a local Languedoc wine.

Superior Room

Between 18 and 24 square meters in size, you will be able to relax while enjoying the city garden or a partial view over the main courtyard. Equipped with a bathroom that has a shower and a bathtub.

Deluxe Room

Between 24 and 32 square meters in size there are 3 different rooms in this category. With its muffled atmosphere and one with an attic ceiling, you will be able to enjoy a partial view of the beautiful Saint Anne school or overlook the typical rooftops of Uzès. Another one overlooks the main courtyard where you will feel like a King and Queen during your stay. The large Tavel stone bathroom has an Italian shower, some are equipped with bathtub.

Suite

This very spacious 53 square meter Suite has a historic and majestic feel to it. It has a double view, over the main courtyard and a deep emblematic pedestrian street of the protected sector of Uzès.

Junior Suite

With its chic and elegant setting, there are two different junior suites. One of 39 square meters in size, has a view of the Sainte- Anne school as well as the town garden. One bathroom is equipped with a bathtub made of «Pompignan» stone, the other one with a shower and a bathtub. Intimate and bright you will not want to leave these cocoons.

Prestige Room

This 35 square meter bedroom overlooking Uzès rooftops has exceptional lighting and a unique view of the “Fenestrelle” tower. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a bathtub.

Uzès
The city of Uzès is a joy to discover, full of history and with a delightful atmosphere. Situated between Avignon and Nîmes, Uzès is a charming town with narrow streets lined with beautiful tall buildings made of honey-colored stone.

The vineyards, olive groves, and truffle farms
With its beautiful vine-covered countryside, the Languedoc, (and more especially the Uzès region) is colorful and rich in natural resources. Many activities revolve around winegrowing: fairs, harvest festivals.
Olive oil is the region’s second most important source of agricultural production. Olive trees dot the Languedoc, giving it a unique atmosphere. There are three olive mills in Uzès.
The third most important agricultural product is truffles. One estate in Uzès is specialized in truffle farming.

Art and culture
During your stay, you should not miss seeing: The Eure Valley (vestiges of an aqueduct), the Fenestrelle Tower, Saint-Theodorit Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace, modern art galleries, the Savonnerie du Duché (a soapmaking workshop), the outdoor market on Wednesday and Saturday morning…

The Uzès Golf Club has a 9-hole, 27-hectare course, and are two 18-hole courses in Nîmes (30 minutes by car). You can also go on a maiden flight in a paraglider, microlight aircraft and two-seater airplane with Nub’Air.

By car
Motorway: From Paris and Lyon, take the A7, then the A9 motorway, and get off at the Remoulins exit. Follow the signs to Uzès. It is strongly advised to enter “Rue de la Calade” rather than “18 rue du Dr Blanchard” into your satnav.
Once you arrive in Uzès, take the ring road until you reach the cathedral. Then take the first small street opposite on the left: Rue de la Calade. Next, turn right onto Rue du Docteur Blanchard. The hotel is located at number 18, rue du Docteur Blanchard.
Valet parking is offered at the Gide parking garage (with a security system and video surveillance) just 120 meters from the hotel. Cost of parking: 8 €/day.

By train
There are TGV high speed train stations in Nîmes (30 minutes by car) and Avignon (40 minutes).
