A 75-minute tour of Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal introduces guests to all the installations and facilities of the winery—and is completed with a fabulous tasting of a glass of Marqués de Riscal Rueda Verdejo white wine (D.O. Rueda), and a glass of Marqués de Riscal Reserva red wine (D.O. Ca. Rioja).

From Bilbao: Take the Highway E-70 to Highway A8 in the direction of Victoria-Burgos. Follow Highway AP68 to the Cenicero Exit (Exit 10). Pass the toll booth, then turn right onto N-232. Proceed for 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Cenicero (LR-512). Turn right onto Elciego (A-3210). Continue for 6 kilometeres to Elciego. The hotel will be on your right hand side.
From Madrid: Take A-1 to Burgos, then E-5 to Vitoria. Take Exit AP-68 in the direction of Logrono. Take the Cenicero Exit (Exit 10). Pass the toll booth, then turn right onto N-232. From Barcelona: Travel on Highway C-31 to Highway AP-7 in the direction of Zaragoza. Proceed along AP-68 until Cenicero Exit (Exit 10). Pass the tollbooth, and turn right onto N-232. Proceed for one kilometre, and turn left onto Cenicero (LR-512). Turn right onto Elciego (A-3210), and continue for 6 kilometres until Elciego. The hotel will be on the right.
From Bilbao Airport: Travel northwest 0.2 miles and enter the next roundabout and proceed 0.1 miles to the first exit onto BI-737. Travel 0.9 miles on BI-737 which becomes BI-735. Turn slightly to the right toward Barakaldo/Bilbo/Bilbao/Santander. Enter the next roundabout and proceed 0.3 miles to the first exit. Continue for 1.5 miles on N-637/Autopista Solución. Merge onto A-8 /Autovía del Cantábrico via the exit on the left toward Bilbao/Vitoria/Gasteiz/Donostia/San Sebastián. Proceed in the right lane to take AP-68/Autopista Vasco-Aragonesa toward Vitoria/Gasteiz/Burgos/Logroño for 68.2 miles. Merge onto N-232 via Exit 10 toward Cenicero/Najera. Please note that portions of the road will require tolls. Turn left onto LR-211, and travel 0.5 miles. Turn right onto LR-211/Carretera del la Estación. Continue to follow LR-211 for 1.4 miles. Travel 1.8 miles on LR-211 which becomes A-3210 to the hotel. Approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes.
From Madrid International Airport: Take M-13 for 3.5 km until Terminal Salidas T4 (Exit 0A). Proceed toward Terminal Ilegadas and continue along R-2/M-50/Zaragoza/A-1/Burgos for 4 kilometres. Follow signs to M-12 and continue along M-12 for 6.5 km. At the roundabout, take the first exit (Exit E-5 / A-1) towards Burgos for 219 kilometers. Continue following signs for Bilbao/ Francia. Continue along E-5 / E-80 / BU-30 for 6.5 kilometers. Take the exit towards Vitoria/Logroño. Take towards Cenicero N-232 (Exit 10). Continue along N-232 for 0.8 kilometer. Turn left onto LR-512 for 344 kilometers. Turn right onto LR-211 for 2.5 kilometers. Pass by Cenicero and continue along A-3210 for 2 kilometers. Arrive in Elciego; the hotel will be on the right. Approximately 3 hours 26 minutes.

The City of Wine is located in Elciego, among medieval towns, where the winemaking tradition, nature, the exquisite cuisine and the splendid views perfectly complement each other to stimulate your senses.
Marqués de Riscal Winery
The expansive vineyard, dates back to 1858, making Marqués de Riscal the oldest winery in the region. Guests can learn more about wine-making on one of the daily tours of the vineyard’s state-of-the-art facilities. The fascinating journey from grapevine to bottle unfolds as visitors make their way from fermenting rooms to aging rooms stacked high with oak barrels to the enormous cellar housing eight million bottles of wine. A veritable viticulture ‘cathedral’, the cellar contains vintages dating back to 1862.
The hotel is set in an area of great natural beauty, and exploring its surroundings is easy on one of the hotel’s complimentary bicycles. Church of Sant Andres
Magnificent church built in stone in the sixteenth century. In the same building you can see different architectural styles, from Gothic to Neoclassical, through the Renaissance.
Church of Santa María de los Reyes
Located in the North of Laguardia, its construction began at the end of the 12th century in Romanesque style. However, the sanctuary was finished in the 15th century, which due to the restorations made from then on, explains its Gothic, Renaissance and even Baroque features.
