THE CASINO |
|
|
|
|
Palais de la Mediterranee first opened in the early 1930's as a
casino, and soon
was a famed playground
for wealthy pleasure-seekers on the French Riviera. After a great
investment and complete restoration
the casino
recently reopened. Decorated in a wide range of styles, including
Egyptian, Greek and 1930's French styles, the Palais de la
Mediterranee Casino offers 17 table games tables, 6 American
Roulette tables, 4 Blackjack
tables, slot machines and 2 French Roulette tables.
The
Ball room clearly evokes Venice and the Espace Mediterranee has been
given a truly Spanish atmosphere.
The food & beverage services of the Casino are provided in 1
brasserie, “la Frégate”, 1 restaurant in the Gaming Room and 1 snack
bar in the Fruit Machines Room. |

ABOUT NICE |
|
|
|

Nice is
the capital of the Riviera, the largest city between
Genoa and Marseille.
This
beautiful city and its surroundings attracted and
continue to attract people from all over the world. It
started about 400000 years ago (Terra Amana, Vellum
des Marseilles) when the
first visitors
decided to
settle down in this godblessed region.
Cosmopolitan, sophisticated and
patrician with urban elegance but also
Mediterranean
, cheerful
and boisterous with a touch of Italy, Nice offers a
dazzling array of colourful impressions to its
visitors.
The only way to get to know the
real Nice is by strolling through the ochre colored
streets listening to the "Niçois" speaking their own
language (Nissart)
and by tasting their savoury cooking.
Both
elegant and simple, its
charm comes from its exceptional climate as well as
its beauty. Even in the winter the cafe terraces are
filled with people happily drinking and contemplating
the ultra famous Promenade des Anglais... Not only a
land of tourism and leisure; Nice is also a country of
creation, innovation, research and cultural
exchange...
NICE
and its area are undoubtedly the place for the opening
up of art and culture. |
