If you want a tranquil
respite from the cares of the world, combined with warm Irish
hospitality, you will find it here at Moy House. Originally built as the
home of Sir Augustine Fitzgerald in the mid eighteenth century, this
comfortable house has been transformed in keeping with today's superior
standards, while preserving its unique character, style and ambience.
The house is surrounded by a six hectare (15 acre) estate, with
commanding views over Lahinch Bay. The estate is further enhanced by
mature woodland and the meandering River Moy.
The sensitive restoration of this early 19th Century estate recreates a
contemporary and eclectic ambience for today’s traveller in search of a
tranquil respite with natural and warm hospitality.
Located 1 kilometre from the town of Lahinch a mere ten minute drive
from the Cliffs of Moher and along the Burren Region. Moy House is a
hidden gem. Each of the nine oversized individual bedrooms are
individually crafted with a mixture of classic and contemporary
functionalism. The signature statement for the House are the guest
bedrooms, a number of which have free standing original cast iron baths.
The new Signature Suite is a must for that extra indulgence of luxury.
The residential ambience is complemented by a number of private spaces
dispersed throughout the house; from the traditional Drawing room to the
Zen-feel of the Lower library area offer internet access.
From the aroma of dinner bread baking on arrival to the kitchen being
open and welcoming for all guests during their stay Moy certainly
reflects being a true “home from home”. Dinner is an intimate affair in
our conservatory restaurant being unobtrusive yet efficient service.
Freshly picked herbs from the garden and locally produced produce all
invigorate what is a gourmet dining experience to remember, and
breakfast in the morning ensures guests to vow to return! |
