The Hotel Palacio de Cutre is an old
Asturian Palace from the 16th century with a wall, tower and chapel from
the same period. The hotel is located in a watchtower over Picos de
Europa, Sueve Mountains and PiloƱa River valley, on a country estate of
18,000 square meters. Its location is privileged, being half way between
the sea (20 Kms.) and the Picos de Europa (35 Kms.).
Contrary to the majority of Big Houses from this period, situated near
paths later converted into roads, the Palacio de Cutre is isolated in a
valley of more than 2 Kms. from the first occupied house, which assures
quietness and its spectacular environment.
All the decoration, with a provincial style, has been especially cared
for. Thus, it would not be rare for you find a cradle from the VIII
century in a corner once used by the owner's daughter or a big wardrobe
from the end of the last century full of china dolls from the Victorian
period. |
