Eugenio Bermejo, the owner of Palacio de la Serna, is a well-known
Spanish interior designer and painter, who retired early from his
interior design career to dedicate his time to painting. He bought
this 18th century former military garrison and transformed into a
very unique hotel, filled with his own abstract sculptures and
paintings. There are rugs on tiled floors, old beams, bare brick
walls; furnishings are a combination of old and modern. The hotel
has an exhibition room, an open-air sculpture display, extensive
function facilities.
In
fact, if you like to paint, you only have to say so and Eugenio will
let you use his studio at no extra charge, except for the cost of
the materials. The quiet village sits amid the great landscapes of
Castilla-La Mancha south-west of Madrid. |
