This small 18th Century castle
is in the heart of Osuna considered one of the most authentic Andalusian
towns in the area and is of great historical significance. It is an
ideal location from which to explore the rich history of Andalusia,
being midway between Sevilla and Cordoba and from which Granada is
easily reached by highway. There are 20 comfortable rooms in this
attractive hotel, with a fine restaurant - La Casa del Marques - serving
Andalusian cuisine, and there is also a more casual grill/cafe. In
addition, there is an outdoor restaurant for long, lazy lunches. The
rooms are all very spacious making this a perfect spot to stay for a
week and making day trips to the important historical monuments of
Andalusia. The Tower Room (in the tower) has a bathroom on the first
level, bedroom on the second level with floor to ceiling windows
surrounding the bed giving panoramic views of Osuna. There is an
interior garden and a beautiful galleried central patio at the hotels
centre. Please note that Osuna is a very small, quiet town. While there
is much of historical interest, there are few English-speaking
restaurants and limited nightlife. |
