Bearing the name of a rich
and powerful family that has accompanied
the history of the small village of
Montaione, for four centuries, the Palazzo Mannaioni,
is situated in the historic
centre of this town, a small medieval hamlet on top of a hill, not far
away from the most important art cities in Tuscany, such as Florence, Siena and
Pisa. Set in
a former 14th-century Tuscan
palace, and
surrounded by a territory that offers glimpses of rare and pure
beauty, including rows of vines, thick olive groves, secular chestnut
trees and holm-oak trees and clay hills which reflect the
changing colours of the seasons, this
enchanting palazzo, has been carefully restored to its former
splendour, retaining
much of its historical charm. Its 27 guestrooms over three floors, all
have antique-style furnishings and parquet flooring and
open onto balconies with stunning views of the
surrounding countryside.
The hotel also offers
an excellent service, a friendly atmosphere and
all the comforts you would expect to find in
such a prestigious
place.
Housed
within the former cellars of the building, the restaurant offers
typical Tuscan cuisine, including local delicacies
such as mushrooms and white truffles from Montaione.
Its
brick arches create an original and cosy atmosphere
which leaves
first-time visitors astounded at the
sight of the marvellous crossed vaults and
where guests can enjoy
romantic rendezvous. To complement a relaxing and peaceful stay, guests
can head for the hotel’s outdoor spa tub and pool, and
enjoy Italian coffee or cocktails at the poolside bar.
