Built in 1962 by the famous
Italian
architect Gio Ponti, the Parco dei Principi, is an elegant
hotel surrounded by a peaceful, exotic centenary park, beautifully laid out and lovingly
tended, which preserves its original Bourbon appearance. Located just a
few kilometres from the centre, on top of a sheer cliff overlooking
the stunning Bay of Naples and the island of Capri, on the enchanting Sorrentine coast,
it guarantees a totally relaxing holiday.
White and blue fabrics, walls, glasses and tableware,
the colours of the sky and the sea, and one hundred splendid
majolica tiles in the same colours but all different from one
another, are some of the details chosen by designer architect to
match the outside blue sky
and the azure sea with the inside. Guestrooms,
bright and airy, with a retro-modern décor,
harmoniously blended
with modern amenities,
have balconies and terraces that look out onto an
infinity of horizons.
During the day enjoy a relaxing drink by the large swimming pool filled with sea water,
or at the private sandy beach, which can be accessed by a
high speed lift or down an ancient cliff path,
or simply
indulge in
some beauty treatment at the hotel’s wellness centre.
At the sunset, at its warm restaurant, renowned for
the gastronomic
temptation of the chef,
taste some of its
international
and Neapolitan specialties in a romantic atmosphere, enhanced once again
by
patterned or
pictorial majolica tiles and
low-level
lighting. |
