Since it opened in 1910 the Parkhotel Laurin (4-Star Superior) in the heart of Bolzano/Bozen has been the first address for discerning travellers. Laurin Suite Paradeise

Room size 60 m², unique container suite for 2 persons in the garden of the Alois Lageder wine estate in Magrè/Margreid (30 km/20 miles south of Bolzano), bed and living room fitted out with antique Laurin furniture, modern bathroom with whirlpool tub. Rich and varied breakfast in the Paradeis wine bar. Available from the end of March to the beginning of November.

Under the renowned architects Boris Podrecca and Albert Mascotti, the rooms were completely renovated between 1990 and 1998, and reconstructed in four different architectural styles, using only the best materials. Each room is decorated with original paintings by 20th century artists. The suites are all south-facing, with views over the park. Some rooms offer balconies. All rooms and suites offer luxurious modern bathrooms, in marble.

Italian and Austrian motorways charge a toll. The hotel is appr. 10 minutes by car from both exits. BY TRAIN Check the Eurotunnel which operates from the UK (Folkestone) to France (Calais). The following airports are within convenient reach of Bolzano by rail: Munich, Innsbruck, Milan, Bergamo, Brescia and Verona.
