King's Suite:
To
enter the King Suite is quite simply to enter a hotel Suite the like of
which you have never seen before. This wonderful room has undergone a
complete transformation and the result is truly an Aladdin´s cave of
beauty. Unique lamps from Italy, lights, mirrors and wonderful inlaid
pieces from Morocco, a silver sofa, an early 19th century Mallorcean
sofa, a stunning gold and mirrored four poster bed from Harrods. Purples
and dark pink from the artists palette to give the finishing touch. And
all combining to give an atmosphere of pure magic. |

Princess Suite:
An 75m2
amalgam of the rooms 8 and 9, but with nothing remaining from those two
rooms. The style is eclectic. Abstract paintings; modern lighting
casting symmetrical shadows; a coffee table that converts to a dining
table to enable you to enjoy the undoubted pleasure of dining in your
suite with your own waiter against a backdrop of stunning views across
the gardens to the mountains beyond; two full sized sofas to flop into
and enjoy the sounds from the suites stereo system or the latest DVD.
The bathroom is seriously special. All Phillipe Stark and blue glass.
Relax in the Jacuzzi to the sound of Bach or Miles Davies. And bedtime
sees you in a black and gold four poster, designed by Julian Chichester
of London. Turn out the goats head lights from more than 100 years ago
and know luxury, pure and simply is yours. |

Senorial Suites
3 & 4:
These
ground floor suites are the original standard suites 3 and 4 which have
been substantially enlarged by enclosing their terraces within the
suites and creating new terraces cut into the adjoining gardens. Each
suite is 80m2 and each has a salon with 8 metre wall all window framed
by sandstone arches to enable the guest to enjoy a superb natural light
and a stunning view of the gardens. The style of the suites is again
eclectic. Modern for the salon and traditional for the bedroom. White
Italian slate tiles on the floor of the salons set off perfectly the
clean lines of the furniture. Again special attention has been given to
the lighting. There are table lamps made from 19th century French
wallpaper print rolls; parrot feather pigmy hats from Africa adorning
the walls: Two very special and different suites. |

Senorial Suite 6:
Another
very large ground floor suite borne out of the joining together of rooms
5 and 6. The design is one of timeless elegance dressed in rich reds and
yellows, and with the emphasis on space. The detail for which Read´s is
famous is everywhere. Spanish 19th century chandeliers hanging from high
beamed ceilings; beautiful old Chinese silk paintings adorning the walls;
the two full sized sofas to relax in and look out through the ancient
Judas door across the suite´s terrace to the extensive lawns and gardens
beyond. And then through the grand double doors to the bedroom, the
dressing room and the stunning bathroom where Tim the artist has tricked
the eye again. |
