An ancient Benedictine Abbey built
in the XI century, which afterwards became the residence of Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere,
later on, battling spirit, and great patron of the arts and artists,
Pope Giulio II, hosts the Relais Della Rovere, a small
charming hotel, located in a privileged position facing the panoramic view of Colle Bassa and
Colle Alta. Surrounded by olive trees, and beautiful gardens this
picturesque Renaissance building built to the Cardinal's instructions upon
the ancient Benedictine abbey, was carefully restored by experts between 1998
and 1999 to bring back its original splendour and light elements and structures
that had been long forgotten. With the aim of providing a high standard of
service the 30 rooms have been equipped with all the modern conveniences of a 4-stars
hotel and decorated in harmony with the surroundings, silent and elegant, with
prestigious colours and furnishings.
