The Relais & Chateaux Relais Royal is
situated in the heart of the French medieval castle town of Mirepoix.
The historical 18th century building once belonged to the Malroc de
Lafage family and is the first four star hotel to be opened in the
Ariège region.
Extensive renovation by French craftsmen has sympathetically restored
the Hotel to its former glory. The nature and attention to detail of the
renovations has allowed most of the original features to be kept such as
the stunning terracotta tiled floors, the wooden French style ceilings,
the marble and natural stone fireplaces, and the Louis XIV nutwood doors,
to name but a few. In keeping with its noble name The Relais Royal Hotel
is truly majestic.
The Hotel offers a blend of culture and innovation, together with
luxurious and modern comfort, all of which is in complete harmony with
the historical setting of Mirepoix.
Whilst dining at the Hotel’s Le Ciel d’Or restaurant you will enjoy
delicious traditional French cuisine with an international infusion of
flavours. Every dish is prepared with only the best of fresh and
regional products personally selected by the Chef.
