Ripagrande
Hotel is a beautiful XVth Century palace, once residence of Counts
Beccari-Freguglia, transformed into an elegant 4-star hotel. A skilful
renovation has maintained the ancient columns, arches, marbles and
tapestries. The building actually dates back to the XIth century,
because when the Palazzo was built in the XVth century, it was done by
joining several medieval homes, each one three stories high.
Now there are 40 Rooms, of which 20 are Junior Suites, furnished
mainly in a pleasant classic style and endowed with the most modern of
comforts.
The restaurant offers, in a cosy and refined atmosphere, the best of
typical local and regional dishes. Two magnificent inner Renaissance
courtyards complete the setting and may be used, weather permitting, for
outdoor meals. The hotel may propose guided sightseeing tours around
Ferrara and surroundings.
The Hotel is located in the heart of the historical centre of Ferrara,
declared as "Heritage of mankind" in 1995 by UNESCO, within easy reach
of the Cathedral and the Estensi family's castle. It is situated in a
quiet pedestrian area to which the guest may gain access in any event
thanks to a regular permit issued by the reception on arrival. The guest
may park the car on the street itself or in the private hotel garage. |
