The San Roque Golf Club is a golf hotel with a spectacular 18 hole golf course designed by David Thomas, which is part of the Spanish Golf Golden Triangle, formed together with the Alcaidesa, Sotogrande and famous Valderrama courses. It was in this later one where the 1997 Ryder cup was played and The San Roque Club being so near was the official residence of the U. S. and European teams playing the Cup at Valderrama.
The centrepiece is the former home of the Domecq sherry dynasty, now converted into a beautifully designed hotel.
