Nowhere in the world you
can find an area with as many castles, steep vineyard slopes and narrow
alleys with half-timbered houses as in the valley of the Loreley (UNESCO
world heritage site). Embedded into this landscape is on the Rhine
heights, opposite the legendary "Loreleyfelsen" (rock of Loreley), the
Schloss Rheinfels.
The Schloss Hotel (opened in 1973) is part of the castle Rheinfels, the
largest fortress ruin on the central Rhine. Besides 61 rooms (including
two junior suits and two suits) the four stars superior hotel has 2
restaurants with 2 terraces, 2 bars as well as a Wellness area (sauna,
indoor swimming pool, massage and beauty centre).
All rooms range between 24
to 38 square metres and are equipped with telephone, mini bar and safe.
Some rooms have a working space with a fax modem; wireless LAN is
available at the conference centre. There are non smoking rooms and
rooms suitable for disabled persons.
Most of the rooms are located within the Schloss, other rooms as well as
the conference centre are located in the Conference Villa Rheinfels.
All buildings were restored with the most modern equipment while keeping
the preservation of the medieval buildings in mind. A special atmosphere
is created by exquisite antiques, styleful paintings, noble materials
and details, warm and bright colours.
There is also a seasonal cultural program (concerts, art exhibitions
with a connection to the valley of the Loreley) and there are
opportunities for outdoor activities (hiking, rent bikes, play golf).
The Conference Villa Rheinfels - awarded 2002 and 2003 with the price
“Best Conference Hotel of Germany” - has 8 meeting areas, an open air
conference area as well as a nature and a didactic exhibition for
outdoor activities. |
