 Situated
at the top of Upper Agordino at the foot of the Sella Group, Arabba
(m 1602) is one of the main Ladin-speaking areas in the Dolomites.
Thanks to its fortunate position on the border, it is a privileged
point of access to the Sella Ronda and an unrivalled skiing route
through four passes: Campolongo, Sella, Gardena and Pordoi. Both in
summer and in winter Arabba offers many attractions, festivals,
cultural events and places to visit, such as the suggestive ruins of
Andraz Castle, a fortress that stands out against the background of
Livinallongo meadows.
