Hotel Stanhope is a luxury
establishment dripping with late 19th century English charm.
Situated in the
classy business district of Brussels, the property is conveniently
located within walking distance from the Palais Royal, the Museum
of Ancient and Modern Art and Grand Sablon. To the immediate east lie the
imposing official buildings of the European Community. A bit further,
maybe 20 minutes on foot, there's the Grand Place.
Stanhope Hotel is not big by any standards, on the contrary, it is
rather small, but the luxury and comfort are surely there. They have
several room options, all very nice; the suites for one are
exceptionally attractive, decorated in an English style, with a
salon with beautiful bookcases and good old leather chairs. The
Stanhope Hotel is one of the better addresses you can pick in
Brussels, especially if travelling for business. For a tourist, maybe
this is not going to be the best location if the idea is to be
walking distance to the central parts of town. But if you don’t mind
taking a taxi, and you can afford it, the Stanhope is definitely the
place, with a restaurant that dishes up top quality cuisine
throughout the week. During the summer, guests can take meals in the
hotel's pretty garden. There is also a separate bar and a tea room lounge. |
